Referral Program Terms

Last updated September 27, 2026

These terms govern the CleanOps referral program, in which a CleanOps subscriber ("you") refers another business to CleanOps. They add to the CleanOps Terms of Service. Taking part in the program means you accept them.

1. Eligibility

You may refer while your CleanOps business account has an active subscription in good standing. A referral counts only when a new business creates its own CleanOps business account with your referral code or link. Existing CleanOps accounts, and signups made without your code, do not count. Each code has a use limit, of at most 25 referrals.

2. One account per business, and taxes

The program allows one CleanOps account per business. Money rewards may be reportable income. We keep each account's money rewards to $1,900.00 per calendar year. An owner who runs several accounts is responsible for their own taxes on the combined rewards, or may contact CleanOps to request a Form 1099.

3. The reward and how it is calculated

For each qualified referral you earn one reward, which you claim in one of two forms of your choosing: money equal to 2 × the referred business's monthly list price for its plan (an annual plan counts as its yearly price divided by 12), in US dollars; or 60 days of free CleanOps subscription time. The referred business receives 30 days of free subscription time, and never money. Money is paid to your own Stripe account through Stripe Connect, and your account's money rewards are capped at $1,900.00 per calendar year. Past the cap, referrals still count and still earn free time. Only direct referrals are rewarded: nothing is earned when a business you referred refers another.

4. Free time on App Store and Google Play plans

If you pay for CleanOps through the App Store or Google Play, free time is added by extending your subscription with that store, and Apple or Google may email you about it. The same applies to the free time a referred business receives.

Apple allows only two such extensions a year, so CleanOps makes at most two free-time grants to you in any 365 days, whatever your role. Free time needs an active paid store subscription. If it cannot be added, a reward you earned as a referrer stays claimable as money; free time owed to a referred business is not paid as money.

5. When a referral qualifies

A referral qualifies when the referred business's first paid subscription payment clears with real money. Signing up, starting a free trial, a $0.00 invoice, or a free or introductory app store period does not qualify it. Only the first payment is judged.

6. The two claim windows

A reward is held before you can claim it, and the two forms open at different times: free time 30 days after the referral qualifies, and money 90 days after it qualifies. Free time can be taken back and money once sent cannot, so money is held longer. The hold covers most payment disputes, but not every one: card disputes can be opened after it ends. The referred business's free time is applied when the free-time window ends.

7. No self-referral

You may not refer yourself, your own business, or an account you control. A referral that shares your payment method, uses your email address in another form, or is your own account earns no reward. Referrals that share other signals with you may be held for review by CleanOps.

8. Fraud, forfeiture and clawback

If the qualifying payment is refunded, disputed or charged back, or the referred business cancels, before a window ends, the reward is reversed. If CleanOps finds a referral was fraudulent, abusive or broke these terms, the reward is forfeited and CleanOps may take back any free time or unpaid money it produced. Every reversal is recorded in your reward ledger.

9. If your account cancels

If your CleanOps subscription ends, rewards still inside a window are forfeited. A reward that has already become claimable is paid as money only if your Stripe payouts were already set up; otherwise it expires. A cancelled account cannot claim rewards.

10. Unclaimed rewards expire

A reward stays claimable for 90 days after the later of its two windows opens. We notify you before it expires. A reward you do not claim in that time expires, and the expiry is recorded in your reward ledger.

11. Changes to the program

CleanOps may change the reward amounts, windows, caps and limits, or suspend or end the program, at any time. While the program is paused, codes attribute no new signups; referrals already attributed continue through qualification, the claim windows and payout.

12. Which terms govern a referral already in flight

A referral settles at the program settings in force when the referred business signed up. A later change applies only to referrals that sign up after it.
